Our Business

Badger Property Investments is a commercial real estate investment and development firm located in Janesville, WI. Founded in 1996 by Terry McGuire and Tom Lasse, Badger Property Investments specializes in industrial and retail development as well as build to suit opportunities. In its 25-plus year history Badger Property Investments has grown significantly and current owns a 2.5 million square foot real estate portfolio consisting of over 35 properties and 75 tenants across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa.

Todd Bogner

Todd’s comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry has proved invaluable in the expansion, building, management and development of Badger Property Investments properties. Todd has built and remodeled custom homes since 1994, was named South Central Wisconsin Builders Association Builder of the Year in 2008, and led the SCWBA Board of Directors in 2009. Todd joined the Badger Properties team in 2014 and spearheads new construction and development. In his spare time, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife, Bobbi, and their children Abby and Johnny. He also enjoys golf, travel, cars, and escaping to his cabin in the great Northwoods.

Allisen Lasse

Allisen assists Badger Property Investments tenants with lease agreements, rent collection, and building maintenance and repairs, and also analyzes development opportunities. Her interest in property management started in elementary school while on industrial building tours during “take your child to work days.” She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison and has gained years of hands-on experience in brokerage, banking, property management, and development after graduation. Born and raised in Janesville, Allisen loves spending time with her husband Juan, and their two children Finn and Elliott, enjoying all the outdoor activities and amenities that Rock County community has to offer.

Dave Powers

“I do all the accounting from A-Z for all of the Badger Property entities and work on all aspects of commercial and industrial development projects.”

Dave’s distinguished 30-year career in accounting covers a wide variety of industries, including health care, manufacturing, mortgage banking, and commercial real estate. He joined Badger Property Investments in 2014 and is involved in all aspects of its commercial and industrial development projects, including financial analysis, architectural design, project planning and lease review. Dave earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and pursued post-graduate studies at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He earned a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) certification from the Healthcare Financial Management Association while working at Mercy Health System. Originally from Cudahy, Wisconsin, Dave and his wife Julie have three children, who he proudly refers to as musicians and academic all-stars, as well as one dog and two cats. He enjoys golfing, camping, fishing, reading about history, and traveling with his family.

Tom Lasse

Tom is one of the founders and managing partners of Badger Property Investments. Tom and Terry McGuire joined forces in 1996 to create Badger Property Investments, which currently manages over 25 companies. Tom’s extensive background in commercial real estate development spans over 45 years—from his first foray into property management for Ken and Diane Hendricks, to his role as Director of Real Estate for ABC Supply Co., Inc., to the pursuit of his own property developments with different partners in Iowa, Illinois, Oklahoma, Connecticut and Wisconsin. Tom partnered with Terry and Bill Mears, Coldwell Banker Commercial McGuire Mears & Associates, and consolidated his focus to industrial, commercial and retail projects in Wisconsin and Illinois. In recent years, Tom and Terry expanded the Badger Property Investments team to include a new generation of professionals including Allisen, Todd and Dave, who bring invaluable education and experience in real estate, accounting, property management and construction. Tom enjoys traveling with his wife Arra to their Florida condominium and around the globe. He also enjoys taking long walks, skiing, whitewater rafting, hunting, and fishing along with maintaining his properties, and helping his daughter Allisen and her family with their house projects.

Terry McGuire

Terry is one of the founders and managing partners of Badger Property Investments. Terry and Tom Lasse joined forces in 1996 to create Badger Property Investments, which currently manages over 25 companies. Terry works on all aspects of commercial and industrial developments, including financial analysis, architectural design, project planning and lease review. Terry started in the real estate construction and development business in 1973 and partnered with Tom Lasse in 1996 and Bill Mears in 1999. He is a former member of the Wisconsin State Building Commission. In recent years, Terry and Tom expanded the Badger Property Investments team to include a new generation of professionals including Allisen, Todd and Dave, who bring invaluable education and experience in real estate, accounting, property management and construction. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Sandy, and has two children and six grandchildren. He enjoys vacationing in New England, California and the Caribbean. When he isn’t working or traveling, you can find Terry at live musical performances, or out in the wilderness camping, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and hiking.
